Tree Plantation
——————
We all need to be aware of increasing the number of greens. At present pollution and deforestation for industrialization and settlement are slowly pushing our nature to the brink of destruction. So we made an effort and we also set up a tree-planting program and some greenery projects. To avoid natural calamities we need to plant a lot of trees to make our nature free from pollution to avoid natural disasters. And we don’t have much from nature. The time has come to give something to the mother of nature. Roads have been cleaned about various types of saplings have been planted by the sides of the roads. various trees, flowers & various medical plants distribute for plantation.
World Environment Day
——————
June 5 is World Environment Day. We celebrate Environment Day with our local people where some villagers took part in the program. We decided that we had to live in a pollution-free area and keep the world pollution-free. In this program, members of our organization participated and discussed the importance of plants and the prevention of burning plastic and rubber tires.
Types of Trees for Planting
——————
A tree is a perennial plant with an elongated stem/ small stem, supporting branches, stalks, and leaves. For us, a tree is the source of life. Based on research and expert advice, local plants or trees are selected to enrich the flora and fauna. It is ensured that with a minimum of human intervention a selected species of tree can sustain growth in the planting area. These seedlings grow in nurseries for one year and are now being planted in different places.
There is a beautiful verse in the Skanda Purana
“One ashvattha and one pichumanda
One banyan tree and ten chinchillas.
One who eats three kinds of kapittha, bilva, amalaka, and five mangoes will not see hell.”
Ashvattha = Poplar (absorbs 100% carbon dioxide)
Pichumandah = Neem (absorbs 80% carbon dioxide)
Nyagrodha = Banyan tree (absorbs 80% carbon dioxide)
Chinchini = Tamarind (absorbs 80% carbon dioxide)
Kapittha = Kavit (absorbs 80% carbon dioxide)
bilvah = Vine (absorbs 85% carbon dioxide)
Amalaka = Amla (absorbs 74% carbon dioxide)
Mango = Mango (absorbs 70% carbon dioxide)
(Upti = Planting)
That is, whoever plants the seedlings of these trees and takes care of them will not have to see hell. Because of not following this teaching, we are seeing hell today in the form of this situation. Still, nothing is wrong, we can still correct our mistakes. And Trees like Gulmohar, and Nilgiris are deadly to the environment of our country. We have done ourselves a great disservice by blindly imitating the West.
The problem of drought is increasing due to the cessation of planting of trees like poplar, bud, and neem trees. All these trees increase the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere. Also, they reduce the temperature of the earth. We considered the tradition of worshiping these trees as superstition and quickly distanced ourselves from these trees in order to culture and started planting Eucalyptus ( Eucalyptus ) trees on both sides of the road. Eucalyptus grows quickly but these trees are planted to dry out the marshy ground. These trees reduce the water level of the earth. In the last 40 years, eucalyptus trees have been planted in large quantities to the detriment of the environment.
In the scriptures, the poplar is called the king of trees⤵️
At the root is Brahma, the skin is Vishnu, and the branch is Shiva. O tree king of all goddesses I offer my obeisances to you on every leaf
Meaning: I salute the king of trees, Peepal, whose root is the abode of Brahma, the trunk of Vishnu, the branches of Lord Shiva, and the leaves of that tree are the abode of all the gods.
